Anistropic Panorama
Poitiers
"100 masts are aligned to compose an open chromatic screen which functions as much as a surface to hide as to reveal an architecture. The curtain of pylons plays the role of a large-scale filter, leaving the vision of a filigree façade, not a volume, but an image. The spacing of the structure allows pedestrians to circulate around the installation and to perceive different colors according to their position in the plaza. The notions of surface and background are fundamental here, and participate in a principle of fragmentary visibility, of a collage at the scale of the city." – Benoît-Marie Moriceau
