Situated on the historic Île Saint-Louis at the heart of Paris, the Bude project attempts to reestablish the dignity of two adjoining mansions. Each of the houses is completely restructured from the interior while retaining the historic characteristics of the exterior. Large volumes are articulated around a rhythmic spiral staircase opening up to wide views of the banks of the River Seine.
