Lot B1 of Champs-sur-Marne is emblematic of the city’s renewed interest in urban design. It highlights the extraordinary potential of an overlooked urban site, one which fell subject to the constraints imposed by networks of transportation infrastructure. This particular territory presented an opportunity to transcend these constraints, transforming obstacles into surprising new qualities for the project’s programs. The project’s diversity (including housing, offices and shops) required the methodical establishment of programmatic relationships reinforced by inventive typologies.
